How does the Centre make money?
The Centre makes money in four key ways:
- Funding and Donations from individuals, companies, trust and foundations;
- Funds generated by membership;
- Funds generated by the cost of hiring the facility;
- Takings from the bar;
It is important to remember that the Trust cannot make any profit for itself. All money generated is used either for the improving of the infrastructure of the John Clements Sports & Community Centre or by the giving of grants to the affiliated clubs who are constantly looking to enhance their offering both to those who live in Codicote and those from the surrounding areas.
One other key way in which the Centre saves money is that every single person who works behind the bar does so on a voluntary basis - these are all volunteers who willingly give their time to ensure that, ultimately, there are more funds for the Community.
