Last week saw the inaugural Codicote Table Tennis Championships.
There were 16 entrants for each of the Singles and Doubles tournaments with some fantastic table tennis being played – particularly the Singles Final in which Lewis Andrews beat Tom Parker in a great match – 11-6, 12-10, 9-11, 11-3.

On 12th April 1976 John Clements was tragically killed while attempting to rescue children trapped in a hotel fire in the skiing resort of Sappada in northern Italy.
